LASER HAIR REMOVAL
only available at our cannock clinic
Laser Hair Removal is a fast and effective alternative to classic methods of hair removal – say goodbye to waxing, shaving and threading! By using light energy on the skin, laser hair treatment works to destroy the hair follicles and prevents any re-growing of unwanted body hair, saving you money on temporary treatments
Laser Hair Removal is suitable for all skin types and tones, and typically, 6 treatments are needed for permanent hair removal.
Please note we cannot perform laser treatments on areas with tattoos
How does it work?
Laser hair removal uses light energy to permanently damage or destroy individual hair follicles. This treatment targets the roots beneath the surface of the skin using a medical grade laser to prevent regrowth.
The hair follicle must be targeted at a specific time during its growth cycle to prevent the hair from returning. As individual hairs could be in different parts of the hair growth cycle at any one time, you will need several treatment sessions to see long-lasting results. We usually recommend 6 appointments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. (However more treatments maybe required)
Laser hair removal is suitable for men and women with all skin tones. It works on your entire body, including sensitive areas such as the face. Popular areas include facial hair, leg hair, underarm hair, back hair and chest hair. So, with all that in mind, intense pulsed light devices are the perfect technology to effectively remove unwanted body hair. But, how does it really work, I hear you cry? Well, the laser devices emit powerful visible and invisible light pulses to the dark hairs, and this light turns to heat. Using the light energy produced by the device, the dark pigment in the cells soak up the heat from the laser which damages the hair follicles, causing delays in future hair growth. During the treatment, the intense light pulses hits the hair follicle very quickly and you can hear the results, it’s all in the ‘zap zap’!
Laser Hair Removal works best on dark hairs, as the more pigmented (coloured) the hairs, the better the results!
