Acne Prone Skin
Acne affects more than 90% of the worldwide population at some point in there life. It causes spots, oily skin and sometimes skin that's hot or painful to touch. We like to be honest about what we believe is the best course of treatment. Unfortunately there isn't an absolute cure for acne but we are both passionate about improving and controlling the symptoms so you can live your life without worrying about your skin.
There are 6 main types of spot caused by acne:
Blackheads – small black or yellowish bumps that develop on the skin; they're not filled with dirt, but are black because the inner lining of the hair follicle produces colour.
Whiteheads – have a similar appearance to blackheads, but may be firmer and will not empty.
Papules – small red bumps that may feel tender or sore.
Pustules – similar to papules, but have a white tip in the centre, caused by a build-up of pus.
Nodules – large hard lumps that build up beneath the surface of the skin and can be painful.
Treating acne is often a long journey that can take its toll on your confidence, but our aim is to get you to a place where you’re happy with the way your skin looks. We’re here for you every step of the way.
Please be aware in some cases our skincare specialist may not go ahead with treatment if he feels advise or treatment from your GP/Doctor would be better suited.

Skincare Products To Use
Using the wrong products on your skin could be affecting your results in a negative way. Stay away from using any facial products that contain fragrances, oil based, added moisturisers or harsh chemicals. All these can lead to your skin creating more sebum.
Moving forward after your treatments with ourselves we highly recommend introducing or changing a skincare routine that includes cleanser, toner, moisturiser & a face mask that contains natural ingredients & specifically designed for oily/combination skin.
Here at DANNYLEE Aesthetics we are constantly researching new products to recommend to our clients. Please ask in clinic or check out our online store for our latest recommended products.
